BRAA MISSION

BRAA PURPOSE

The purpose of this association shall be the promotion and support of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) athletic programs and to encourage students, alumni, former students and friends of the University in these programs through various means as determined by the Board of Directors. The association shall facilitate the maintenance of a close relationship between its members and the University.

 

BRAA HISTORY

The Blue Raider Athletic Association was established in 1987 to provide financial support for Middle Tennessee athletics. The BRAA membership has grown to 1020 loyal supporters and seeks to continue to engage friends, alums and supporters of the program throughout the state of Tennessee.

Is my contribution tax deductible?

As of January 1, 2018, if a donor’s gift is related to priority seating, it is no longer tax deductible per IRS regulation. However, all other gifts and support to the BRAA are tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of your gift.

What are the benefits associated with giving to the BRAA?

Those who participate in Annual Giving may take advantage of the Annual Giving benefits chart, located within this Giving Guide, which includes access to priority seating and parking areas.

How are BRAA priority points assigned?

Priority Points Earned

3 points – Every $100 received to the Champions Annual Fund

2 points – Every $100 in Legacy Giving (Must be in the form of cash received or irrevocable bequest)

1 point – Every $100 received in all other Annual Giving categories

 

One-Time Bonus Point Opportunities

5 points – Five consecutive years of giving

10 points – Ten consecutive years of giving

15 points – 15 consecutive years of giving

20 points – 20 consecutive years of giving

25 points – 25 consecutive years of giving

30 points – 30 consecutive years of giving

50 points – Being a former MTSU student-athlete

25 points – For joining the Jr. Blue Raider Club and three (3) points annually, plus the individual is eligible for a “consecutive year” bonus

25 points – For being an MTSU staff or faculty member
